The University at Buffalo has scored a $2.4 million grant from the Toyota Research Institute for materials science research that seeks to make vehicles carbon neutral.
The award is part of a broader $35 million investment from Toyota that went to several universities and one company, and supports projects that use artificial intelligence to help accelerate the design and discovery of new materials, according to a UB news release.
