Pennsylvania will receive $30.4 million from Volkswagen as its portion of the $157 million settlement for environmental damages and vehicle claims, Attorney General Josh Shapiro said on Thursday.

The automaker settled with 10 state Attorneys General over damages caused by a device placed on its cars that allowed excessive carbon monoxide to escape into the air, in violation of federal and state laws.
