A new law limiting the amount airlines can be charged in taxes for jet fuel will benefit the carriers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport but cost the city of Phoenix about $2 million annual.
The law, signed by Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey last week, was pitched as a way to help the airport remain competitive against others who don’t levy such a tax, according to the Associated Press and KTAR.com.
