Uber Technologies Inc. suspended tests of its self-driving cars after an accident in Tempe damaged another car and left the ride-hailing vehicle on its side.

Uber officials confirmed the accident but could not say whether the car was driving itself or one of the technicians assigned to all of the cars was behind the wheel, according to a report on Bloomberg.
