A consortium of Kansas City minority groups said it will publicly call for the City Council to reject a selection committee’s Sept. 6 recommendation of a team led by Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate to design, build and finance a new one-terminal Kansas City International Airport.
Gwendolyn Grant, CEO of the Urban League of Greater Kansas City, said the KCI Airport Urban Consortium will release a statement at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Black Economic Union Buiding, 1601 E. 18th St.
