Electric-car maker Tesla Inc. will lay off 63 employees in its SolarCity division’s Roseville offices, according to a disclosure filed with the California Employment Development Department.
Those will be in addition to 141 layoffs at solar-energy company SolarCity’s Roseville offices that were previously reported by ABC10 last month. Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) acquired SolarCity Corp. in November. The 63 Tesla layoffs are part of the same round of job cuts as the earlier-disclosed ones at SolarCity.
