Hawaiian Airlines had a 2.8 percent increase in passengers in August, with year-to-date passengers up 3.2 percent, according to traffic statistics released Thursday.
The Honolulu-based carrier transported 1.02 million passengers last month, bringing the total number to 7.68 million so far in 2017.
The airline’s traffic, or revenue passenger miles, measured by each paying passenger transported one mile, grew 1 percent to 1.4 billion in August, with year-to-date traffic up 5.4 percent to 10.8 billion.
