The dangerous Hurricane Irma is forcing the closure of St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.
Michele Routh, the spokeswoman for PIE, issued the following statement: “As a result of Pinellas County’s mandatory evacuation order of Flood Zone A, the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport will close Friday, Sept. 8 at 11:00 a.m. until further notice.
