Main Street Bridge is temporarily closed, starting at 10 a.m. and lasting into the early evening hours, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The bridge is closed to remove a temporary platform for construction crews, a precautionary measure for motorists’ safety in the event of high winds brought by Hurricane Irma. Similar actions were taken to prepare for Hurricane Matthew.
