Jacksonville rail firm CSX has yet to break ground on its massive $272 million intermodal terminal in Rocky Mount, and already it’s being credited with luring economic development to eastern North Carolina.
This week, it’s a 31-job manufacturing expansion at tractor firm LS Tractor USA in Nash County. But insiders say more could be coming as CSX executes its plans for the terminal, which will transfer massive cargo crates between trucks and trains.
