A new container yard for empty containers at the Port of Houston broke ground this week.

Terminal Link Texas is building the 25-acre empty container yard inside the Bayport Container Terminal. The project is part of a public-private partnership, according to an Aug. 16 press release.

As part of the lease agreement between Port Houston and TLT, the company will use the new container yard and return 14 acres that it currently operates there to the Port.
